EDO, Deutsche Ärztechor and Lions club Bad Nauheim raise €26.000 for local charities

EDO was delighted to join with the German Doctors Choir (Deutsche Ärztechor) in two joint performances of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem in April 2023. The two charity concerts took place in the Rhein-Main region of Germany and were held in commemoration of the lives lost during the covid pandemic.

The Bad Nauheim concert was hosted by the Lions Club Bad Nauheim. The sell-out performance raised €18.000 in support of the work of “Palliativ Pro” and two local projects by the “Lebenshilfe” Wetterau and Gießen: an early intervention programme for families with special needs and an inclusive café in the region.

The second concert in Wiesbaden was actively supported by the city of Wiesbaden and the DGIM (German Association of Internal Medicine) as the official social programme of the annual conference of physicians in the city. The organizing committee was able to hand over proceeds of €8000 to the “Akademie für Ältere”, a subdivision of the Wiesbaden Community college that offers special services and cultural activities for the elderly.

Together with the Deutsche Ärztechor and the Lions Club Bad Nauheim we are thrilled to have raised €26.000 in total for local charities during this highly enjoyable spring weekend of music making.

Thank you to all the people who bought tickets for our concerts, came to listen and supported these important charities!
